The 1802 Vrancea earthquake was an earthquake on 26 October 1802.[1] Its magnitude was 7.7 on the Richter scale, and 7.9 on the moment magnitude scale, and its epicenter was in the Vrancea area. It was the strongest earthquake ever recorded in Vrancea.[1]
